Corporate Event Photographer in Los Angeles
Your event took months to plan. The photography should look like it.
I'm David Christopher Lee, and I've spent 27 years photographing people the world already knows — red carpets, press junkets, magazine covers. I bring that same standard to corporate work: conferences, summits, award galas, product launches, holiday parties, and executive headshot stations across Los Angeles.
Most event photographers document the room. I photograph the people in it the way a magazine would — because that's what I've done for 27 years. Your speakers look like keynote speakers. Your gala looks like a gala. And the images keep working long after the event ends: on your website, in your annual report, across your social channels, in every deck your sales team sends for the next two years.
What corporate event coverage includes
Full-event coverage. Keynotes, panels, breakout sessions, networking, candids, and detail shots of the room before doors open. I work unobtrusively — your attendees notice the event, not the photographer — while making sure no moment that matters goes uncovered.
Executive portraits on site. A clean, fast headshot station for your leadership team and speakers, shot between sessions with consistent lighting and a consistent look. If you need corporate headshots in Los Angeles as a standalone session, that's covered too.
Same-week selects. A curated gallery of highlights within days for press, social, and internal communications — because a great photo posted the night of the event is worth ten posted a month later. The full edited gallery follows on an agreed schedule.
Press-ready files. Captioned, high-resolution, color-corrected, and licensed for your marketing use. No watermarks, no hassle, no chasing files six months later.
The events I shoot
- Conferences and summits — single and multi-track, from 100 attendees to 5,000. Keynotes, panels, audience reactions, sponsor activations.
- Award galas and fundraisers — low light, VIP handling, step-and-repeat, the moments donors actually remember.
- Product launches and press events — media risers, tight deadlines, same-day selects for press.
- Holiday parties and celebrations — candid energy, group photos people actually want to share.
- Executive retreats and offsites — smaller, more intimate, often with portrait sessions built in.
Recent coverage includes conferences, brand activations, awards ceremonies, and private corporate receptions across downtown Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, and Orange County.
Why companies hire me instead of a generalist
No learning curve on your shoot day. Twenty-seven years of sets, stages, and ballrooms means I've already solved every problem your event will throw at a photographer: the CEO who hates cameras, the ballroom with impossible lighting, the 500-person group photo with eight minutes on the schedule.
Your stakeholders look their best. This is the difference my background makes. Anyone can take a technically correct photo of a panel discussion. I make your speakers look like the authorities they are — the kind of images your marketing team pulls for the website hero, not the kind that get buried in a shared drive.
One point of accountability. You deal with me — the photographer whose portfolio you hired — not a studio that sends whoever's available that weekend. The person you meet on the planning call is the person who shows up with the cameras.
How booking works
1. Tell me about the event. Date, venue, hours, headcount, and what the photos are for. Call or text +1 (510) 326-4934 or reach out through the contact page. You'll get a straight answer, not a sales process.
2. Get a firm quote. Based on your actual event — length, venues, crew size, turnaround — not a vague range. Multi-day summits with second shooters and same-day selects are scoped individually.
3. Lock the date. A signed agreement and a 50% retainer reserve your date. The balance is due on delivery.
4. Pre-event planning. We walk through the run of show, the must-have shots, VIP sensitivities, and logistics — loading, lighting, timelines. If I haven't shot your venue, I scout it.
5. Event day. I arrive early, shoot the room empty, then cover everything on the shot list plus everything that happens between the lines.
6. Delivery. Highlight selects within days for press and social; the full edited gallery follows on schedule.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a corporate event photographer in Los Angeles cost? Every event is different — length, venues, crew size, and turnaround all matter. In the LA market, professional full-day conference coverage typically runs $1,500–$4,000 per day; multi-day summits with second shooters and same-day selects run higher. Tell me the date, venue, and hours and you'll have a firm quote, not a range. If you're still deciding what kind of photographer you need, read the guide to hiring a corporate photographer in Los Angeles.
How far in advance should we book? For large conferences, 3–6 months — the best corporate photographers in Los Angeles are reserved months ahead, especially September–November and March–May. Holiday parties: book by September. Smaller events are more flexible — even a few days' notice usually works. Ask.
Do you bring a second shooter? For single-track events under 200 attendees, usually not necessary. For multi-track conferences, simultaneous breakouts, or events where you need a headshot station running alongside main coverage — yes, and I'll tell you honestly when it's worth it.
Can you set up headshots during our conference? Yes. A portable executive headshot station runs between sessions with no disruption to your program — consistent lighting, consistent look, 3–5 retouched selects per person.
How fast do we get the photos? Highlight selects within days for press and social; the full edited gallery follows on an agreed schedule, typically 5–10 business days.
Do you travel outside Los Angeles? Yes — Orange County, San Diego, and nationwide for multi-day conferences.
Who owns the photos? Your company gets perpetual usage rights for marketing, web, social, PR, and internal communications; I retain copyright and portfolio rights. Full buyouts for confidential work are available. It's all in the contract before the shoot — no surprises after.
Book your date
The photographers with open calendars during peak season are available for a reason. If your event matters enough to plan for months, it's worth a photographer who's spent 27 years getting this right.
